Political Turmoil – 12 / 2020 - 27 December, 2020

Friends & Critics A- On Armed Force’s Pension – An Individual was parachuted and hoisted to head the Indian Army by super seeding two of his senior’s. After doing his full tenure he was further kicked-up to mess the affairs of the whole of defense forces. And he is bent upon fingering the pension’s of the Armed Forces. I suggest that the govt. should seriously first consider rationalizing the pension being offered to the elected representatives. a) For legislative representatives – Pension only if a person complete five tenures in the assembly. b) For MP’s – Only if an individual completes minimum two continues tenures or a total of three tenures as MP’s. c) MLA’s & MP’s PAYS should be reduced by 50%. Other allowances should be reduced by 75%. d) It would be also logical to lay down certain educational qualifications. Even for Peon, Drivers, Mali, Guard, Safaiwala’s, and all 4th class post Some qualifications are laid down. e) The Govt. can’t temper with the pension benefit to the existing lot. It would be prudent for the govt. to make the entry and exit policies, attractive to draw in right and appropriate levels of candidate into the arms forces. B- On Agri Reforms – If the reforms were so good why ? An ordinance. The proposal should have been put in Loksabha- debated and enacted as a law. With majority in both houses NDA should not have problem. Now a better suggestion is - Repel – and – Renact. C- BJP’s Aim – Every election is to be won – come whatever may happen ? Create and position Gangsters in the election states and generate ante religious fervor. JHAGRE KARO AUR JIMMEDARI DUSRO KE UPER DALO. D- Love Jihad – Objective to create a threat in the minority community and keep them petrified. Snippets 1- Distorting A great Religion – FIR against Netfix film betrays not just intolerance but also ignorance about Hinduism. The problem with the ultra-Hindu right is that its aggression is in inverse proportion is in inverse proportion to its knowledge. These self-anointed guardians of Hinduism are trying to make it run on Talibani diktats – Says Pawan Verma. 2- Weak Pretext – Citing Covid to skip winter session repeats past mistakes of bypassing Parliament. – Editorial TOI 3- Situation in East – Ladakh. After Doklam China was preparing its Military Action in East Ladakh. As reported these preparation were going on for last three years. This can be easily compared with what Pakies did in Kargil Sector in the year 1999. Political Turmoil – 11 / 2020 (22, November, 2020)

Friends & Critics – The TIME MAGAZINE Dated – 12th October Published a list of 100 most influential people of the world. The chosen three are Discussed in brief A- Donald Trump – The disrupter. With all 230 gleaming feet of Air Force One stretched out behind him on a recent September evening, I president D.T. told a campaign rally in Freeland, Mich, “We are changing Washington.” Though the MAN stands defeated, but he is shameless, and he is not accepting his ouster. B- XI JINPING – Total control. XI may yet come to regret that he is now effectively china’s leader for life. C- Nrendra Modi – Weakening democracy. The key to democracy is not, in fact, free elections. Those only tell who got the most votes. More important is the rights of those who did not vote for the winner. Comment a) Trumped, Trumpism Lives. Joe Biden will govern a deeply divided nation and low by the Coronavirus - Says Saswanto R Das. b) Winds of Change Joe Bidden and Kamala Harris should return America to decency and competence.-Says TOI c) On Economy – C Rangnathan, D Subbarow, and M. Rangrajan Three former RBI Governors Stated that D-monetization was to quite an extent responsible for economic slowdown. Bank functioning is in doldrums. d) Modi Ji – Looses two big friends one in Galwan Valley. Also loosses Trump for whome he did enough canvassing in US as well as in India. ABKI BAR TRUMP SARKAR. e) Post-RCEP, Where Does India Stand? India’s absence from Southeast and East Asian economic groups could be isolating. India’s weak economy and its absence from the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which will be world’s largest free trade area, raise questions about its role in Asia. ARE WE ON THE RIGHT TRACK OF OUR FOREIGN POLICY INITIATIVES ? Snippets LOVE JIHAD – Latest fad. Coined by ultra Right Fundamentalist elements “To isolate and petrify minorities. Political Turmoil – 10 / 2020 25 October 2020

Friends & Critics –Few wards on happenings in EAST OF LADDAKH & GALWAN VELLY Four months violent face-offs, increasing points of military conflict, intensifying military build-up, banning of 177 Chinese apps, check on Chinese investments by India, and an inconclusive meeting between the defense ministers of India and China on September 4 in Moscow. Is an India-China war inevitable? The questions is uppermost in many minds. a) Military view – A 1967 NATHULA Another flashpoint was Nathula a mountain pass in Sikkim (then a kingdom, but an Indian protectorate)-sandwiched between Bhutan, Chinese-ruled Tibet and Nepal. During a series of clashes in Nathu La and Cho La, Some 80 Indian soldiers died. Idnia counted up to 400 Chinese casualties. b) 1975 TULUNG LA– This skirmish was the last time shots were officially fired across the border and four Indian soldiers were ambushed and killed. Recently, Chinese troops abducted five hunters from the Nacho area, the last administrative circle along the McMahon Line in Arunachal Pradesh. c) Other Reasons – China has not fought a war in over four decades. Under the circumstances, where China stands internationally isolated. India certainly isn’t keen to escalate the situation. d) Most Important – by occupying the heights, India has improved its bargaining position. It may be tough for the PLA to accept. The heights are occupied by no less then SFF Troops. Special force created in 1963 to capture TIBET only. Which is part of RAW. Possible Solution – A summit is to be called between MODI and XI. No egos. May be organized at a neutral place like – Nepal – Bangladesh – Sri Lanka or even Singapore. Agenda – suggested. “Let-us define the LAC. Withdrawal of the troops to pre April – 2020 dates. Create a no conflict Zone. Even ff required compromise economic bans imposed by India”. We have to be very bold and not be involved in Chest Thumping. Snippets A- India will not cede even an inch of territory: Says Rajnath Singh. RM of India B- Peace along LAC disturbed impacted India-China ties. Border issue is A very Complicated and Difficult Matter: Says jaishankar FM of Idnia. Political Turmoil – 09 / 2020 - 27th September 2020

Political Turmoil – 09 / 2020 Friends & Critics – An Act of GOD (As Stated by Hon. FM) GDP as stated decline to – 23.9 or below. Our sources of income to the exchequer are (a) RBI funding. Rupees 1.76 lacks corers in addition 59 thousand corers, may be more in the offing. (b) Unabated increase in Diesel & Petrol prices to the tune of Rs. 10 per Lt. in last 4 months or so. Even though globally prices of Crude Oil declining (c) Payment of DA to serving and retired Gov. officials stand frozen from 01st January 2020 till 31st March, 2021 May be Extended further. (d) No allotment of GST to states as under the agreed formula. Why Does Growth Falter? – India routinely jettisons financial stability for myopic adjustments in government expenditures. Put simply, “phone banking” or behest lending has partly paved way for “phone central banking” as an all-encompassing arrow from the government’s quiver directed towards short-term growth stimulus with back-loaded macroeconomic misdirection. – V.V. But the things have changed now that very senior people even while in service start making political statement or favoritism towards ruling dispensation to earn political space. Political Turmoil – 07 / 2020 26, July, 2020

Friends & Critics – KARGIL DAY SPECIAL
Some Facts of three past major, military events of the country. We shall also discuss Trust Worthy, Or Un Trust Worthy  Friends or our True Friends.
A-     1962 – famous Chinese debacle : (a) Just 10 year had passed to India’s Independence (After the first General Elections held in 1952.) WW – 2 had just ended in 1945. New global military alignments were in the offing. A new world order militarily (NATO – WARSAPACT) and separate NAM Non Alignment was being experimented. The top Indian political leadership was literally sandwiched between these three classicals. Our political leadership lead by JLN tried the old Gandhian thoughts. May be Nehru dint succeed (for the information Sardar Patel the Iron Man had died on 15 Dec. 1950).
B-     1971 – The famous Bangladesh War. : (a) The great visionary leadership of Indira Gandhi. (b) She utilized the INT agencies fully. (c) The first high jacking in 1971 was master minded by our RAW and the Pakis were held responsible. This initiated the stoppages of overflights of PAK military Aircraft from WEST to EAST. (d) Excellent equation of military and political leadership. (e) Diplomatic reach to world leaders. She Signed a 20 years military and political friendship treaty with the erstwhile USSR, and sent her other senior cabinet colleagues to other countries to make India’s position clear and known. (f)  An other example of excellent usages of int was to leak out to PAK’S that India would attack on third December. (Where as it was planned for 4th Dec.) PAK’S were trapped and they took an offensive on 3rd Dec. and India started pouncing them on 4th Dec. Morning. India attained Air Superiority in first 3 days and finished the war in just 13 days (which was expected to last about 20 days).
C-     1999 – ABV (a) close the door of INT. (b) Too much of trustworthiness and expectation. (c) October 1998 INT agencies were adviset go slow on PAK because the leadership was over whelmed by February 1999 Bus Yatra. (For detail on Kargil War u may go through my post on blog : http://airmarshalashokgoel.blogspot.com/).
D-     2020 - Galwan Vally  (East of Ladakh) (a) Lacked Intelligence (b) A white paper should be circulated by the GOI. Indicating LAC as perceived by India and as dictated by Chinese (c) Position of Troops on of May 2014, Sep. 2014 (this was the first visit XI to India). Since our PM has had 12 meetings with XI in India or abroad. (d)  Position of troops as on 05 May 2020, on 05 June, 14 June. This would generate the confidence of 130 corer people of India in our top leadership.

Trust Worthy / Un Trust Worthy or True Friends
A-    After 1962 War Americans offered massive military aid to India. What actually offered was only an organization called DGS. That is Directorate General of Security. We got three Wings ARC, SFF and SSB. They also gave us some C-46 Aircraft, The aim was (as spelt out by Americans) to capture Tibet by Airborne operations. Which remained a dream and continues to be a dream. The US have proved from Time to Time Un Trust Worthy except occasionally when Big dollar related Military Equipments is to be inducted. Only true friend has been erstwhile USSR or now RUSSIA.

Political Turmoil – 06 / 2020 28th June 2020

Friends & Critics – CHOTI – CHOTI BATEIN
A-     Pandit Nehru the states man has come under biggest criticism by the ruling dispensation. Since he established democratic norms to the hilt. He gave Country a broad scientific base (Including Nuclear Power), he gave institutions comparable to the world class, he gave technical infrastructure, he gave Dams and river projects. He thought and gave IIT’s, IIM’s and AIIMS likes. If India has gone ahead so much it was mainly because of his farsightedness. An incident to quote during 1952 general elections he was addressing a public meeting Ludhiana, he had learnt that Jai Prakash Narayan, (JP) was to address a public meting at near by place after he said to the public “In Your City after Two Days JP is going to address a Public Meting, I will request you all to kindly go and attend his meting and listen to him and his thoughts” Our ruling dispensation leaders only abuse and condemn the opposition leaders.
B-     A caution “Bhakti is Tolerable, Mahabhakti is Divisive and Andhbhakti, could prove to be DESTRUCTIVE”. Please decide your path carefully.
C-     A norm of virtual rallies is a new beginning – Captive audience, a must on TV.
D-     Our party and leadership makes no mistakes – the great defenders are Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javdekar.
E-     GDP was Crumpling then comes Madam Corono – all blame shifts to Covid – 19, says Vivek Deberoy an economist. A part of PM’s Niti Ayog – Think Tank.
Snippets
a)       The Great Rethink India backs off a lockdown strategy the elite cheered on, but the poor could not cope with says - Ruchir Sharma an Economist (TOI – 2nd June 20).
b)      What’s Behind Chinese Intrusions? Bejing needs to save face globally. Expect a long LAC faceoff and no solution. India should reconsider the “Informal” Summit with Xi  where both sides take back very different perceived outcomes. India believes Xi understand Modi, China believes Modi kowtows to Xi. Says – Indra Bagchi (TOI – 4nd June 20).

c)       Resetting India Ties with China. The Ladakh intrusion is an outcome of Bejing’s ambitions and insecurities, and lock of clarity on LAC.  Says –  Gen. NC Vij, former army chief (TOI – 23rd June 20).

Political Turmoil – 05 / 2020 31st May 2020

Friends & Critics – On Covid - 19
Covid – 19 has remained a primary event throughout and now we are entering 5th Phase of LOCKDOWN of the event, Friends the 1st case of the Covid-19 was identified reported and taken cognizance on 30th January 2020 in KERALA. A girl student from WUHAN had returned to her home town. However we remained silent till 24th of march. Some salient points are discussed below :
A-     PM sir have you realized and appreciated that as and when you have addressed the Nation on electronic media it his brought misery to the poor. First example is 8th November 2016 when you declared DEMONITISATION, a large number of poor people were adversely affected. They lost their hard earned saving even lost their lives in fighting for their legitimate expectations. Similarly now a large number of Migrants have suffered physically, financially and a good number have lost their lives.
B-     PM Sir the delayed action can that be construed due to visit of MMDT. Friends we may call it in coincident but it has happened wherever MMDT visited that is AHAMDABAD, AGRA and DELHI are the worst affected due to Covid – 19. Like MMDT is fighting a case against China for Covid-19. I think we have full justification to file a case against MMDT in International Court of Justice against MMDT.
C-     Once again our poor and deprived and have-nots the migrant class were neglected at the initial stages, and they remained fighting for their return to their native places. To see their neglect and plight on roads and Railway Platforms was pathetic and painful. May be if they were part of the scheme at the very beginning, it was avoidable.
A few Suggestion on Migrant Labor / Workers :
a-       Divide all such personal (Specially in BIMARU States) from where they are picked up into the category unskilled, semiskilled and high skilled. They should be registered with respective state government accordingly. They should be normally assign to the demanding state and a record maintain.
b-      To avoid large scale movement it would be prudent to developed infrastructure in at least 33% of Districts to have Infrastructure of Industry to absorb them within the State. For example UP has 75 Districts 25 Districts should be Industrially Developed to absorb these Migrant with in the State. It is suggested that this formula of 33% should be equally applied to all the States from where the migrants move out.
c-       Wherever Migrants are employed the Railway pained for their Timely Movement to their native States should be like a WAR PLAN.
d-      May be more and more regulatory mandates likely to bringing corrupt practices.
Snippets
a)       Undoubtedly our leadership Kept on taking initiatives and actions to fight Covid-19 But What has saved us most is HIGH IMUNITY Levels of our 85% of poor class. They are the people who can drink water from any sources and eat any thing from roadside DHABA’S and THELAWALA’S.
b)      Biggest suffers of CORONA are Social Activities, Travel & Tourism etc.
c)      Why Millions Defied The Lockdown – Stranded or marching, migrants have exposed  our ignorance of what poverty in today’s India means.
d)      Poverty compounds India’s CORONA suffering Govt. never fixed this core problem.
e)      MSME sector on verge of collapse says Gadkari.
f)       MMDT Says reopening may cause deaths, but can’t be sitting at home for 3 years – A logic by the Top leader of the would.

Political Turmoil – 04 / 2020 26 April - 2020

Friends & Critics – On Convid - 19
An analysis – Background Information. During 2004 General Elections A political party had given a call “India Shining” A Economic Survey group of Mumbai carried out study, the result indicated that India can be sub divided :
A-    Club Class Economy - 3% Population. Which can be sub divided   (a)- Ultra Rich   (b) Mediocre Rich   (c)  Moderately Rich
B-     Cycle Class Economy - 12% Population. That is middle class. Can be further divided into            (a) Upper Middle Class  (b) Middle class  (c) Lower Middle Class
C-     Bullock Cart Economy – That is 85%. In that are poor, very poor, and bellow poverty line.
Often it is stated that high IMMUNITY is one of the reasons that keeps the individuals away from such sickness or pandemic. That class of people in Bullock Cart Economy maintain a very high level of immunity. They don’t depend on filter water or sophisticated eating joints. They eat at road side Thelas and have their tea from such road side Thelas. When it comes to drinking water they can drink from any hand pump or road side availability. Hence this class of nearly 90% of our population is with high IMMUNITY. That is the reason India has kept at the lower spectrum of Corona Virus – 19.
We should not forget that in our country 3000 children die of malnutrition (below 5 years of age) and 500 people are killed every day in road accidents. Besides Diabetes, Cancer, Cardiac Arrest, Asthma etc. We should improve upon our medical infrastructure to save our small children from malnutrition and further go up in the ladder.
Undoubtedly supported by many systems we have so far kept the dreaded Covid – 19 well under control tc dkj.k gh ugh irk rks mldk fuokj.k dSlkA
An Appeal :- Govt., Govt Agencies, Media, Modi Media, have crated enough scare on Covid-19. Now is the time to lift all Curbs and restrictions impose, and let people live their life. Govt. should concern treat on better facilities, nedical up gradation and accelerate the process of inventing vaccine for the Covid-19.

Political Turmoil – 03 / 2020 29, March, 2020

Friends & Critics Some Comments
PM Modi Sir you always talked about good governance and less of government some of the thought provoking indicators are :
a)      Your all ideologies are governed by your ideologues and think tank the RSS. All your appointments are dictated and approved by your supreme body the RSS.
b)      The Rioters in Delhi were handled by you and your most trusted HM on the lines of Gujrat.
c)      The right and wrong lessons of Shaheen Bagh – your clam of good governance was shattered yet again by Delhi’s riots.
d)      After Delhi violence, Muslims in India fear. What’s next ? – Stated in Time Magazine March – 23rd.
e)      Blind nationalism not good for India – says Baba Ramdev.
Corona Virus (Covid-19) :
Undoubtedly you as the PM initiated some bold actions for which the whole Nation a supportive and cooperative. However some observation
(a)                First Case in India was reported on 30th January 2020 if the actions had been initiated earlier, say by 15th February 2020 may be we would have been better placed.
(b)                             Movement of migrant laborers should have been anticipated planned in a systematic manner.

Political Turmoil – 02 / 2020 16, February, 2020

Friends & Critics Some Comments
A)    CAA impacts different sections of Indians negatively. Opposition parties’ task is to bring them together. - It is not so obvious that all Indians citizens have citizenship papers and proof of residencies. Shah’s promise to make NRC following the very failed experience in Assam, only makes for a situation where the poorest of the Indian poor are losing their citizenship. - SAYS ATREY D BHARGAVA a- Prof. of Economics.
B)     In 2020, Put people First. Protesters are not urban naxals. Government needs to listen to them. Importantly, the parliamentary committee on Vajpayee’s Citizenship Bill was headed by Congressman Pranab Mukherjee and there was political negotiation and consultation across party lines and across ideological divides. – Says Sagarika Ghose a senior journalist.
C)     Don’t Polarise By Religion. Authorities must listen to the secular and inclusive message coming from anti CAA-NRC protesters. – Says Pavan K Varma Former M.P. a thinker and writer of repute.
D)    Why NRC Must Be shelved. It will be an expensive, Gargantuan, pointless exercise that could trigger civil war in the worst case. – Says Chetan Bhagat a thinker and writer of repute.

Delhi Elections
The recently held elections in Delhi were fought under most acrimonious political environment. For which the ruling dispensation at the centre is responsible.
SUPER DIRECTORS – MO-SHA
MIDDLE LEVEL DIRECTORS – GIRI RAJ SINGH, VIJAY VARGEYA
PERFORMERS – Parvesh Verma (S/o former delhi CM Sahib Singh Verma), Anurag Thakur (S/o Former CM Prem Kumar Dhumal, Himachal Pradesh)., Kapil Mishra A BJP candidate for Model Town, Delhi

A few selected CM’s of BJP ruled states, most significantly YogiJi from U.P., Intention being to polarize the happenings in the elections. An advise to the ruling dispensation “Get Rid of GANE BAJANE WALA’s and PUJARIES of TEMPLES to be More realistic and offer a LEVEL PLAYING FIELD.

Political Turmoil – 01 / 2020 19 January 2020

Friends & Critics
MO-SHA :- You have been very active brought in      (a) – Teen Talaq,         (b) – Abrogation & 35-A in J&K (Literally decimation of J&K from a full status of a State to a UT)         (c)- You succeeded in the battle of RAM MANDIR and you are in the process of Bringing in SCARY – CAA, NRC and NPR.
Highly appreciated but you have completely missed out         (a) Rising Inflation       (b) Farmers Crises       (c) High Rate of Unemployment .
THIS IS HOW A SENIOR AND WELL KNOWN ECONOMIST EXPLAINS – (SWAMINATHAN S AIYAR)
Sliding economy needs serious structural fixes  - When Narendra Modi was re-elected, optimists expected GDP growth to accelerate to 8%. Alas, it is plummeting towards 4% having fallen steadily in the last four quarters – 7%, 6.8%, 5.6% and 5%.
Expect a further fall to almost 4% when the July-September figures come out. The Index of Industrial production was minus 4.3% in September, the worst in a decade, with 17 of 23 industrial categories recording declines. Capital goods output (representing fresh investment declined 20.7%, GDP growth is approaching the 3.9% low of the Great Recession of 2008-09).
One reason is cyclical. The slowing world economy is pulling India down too. But India also has serious structural flaws that will not mend easily, Unless mended, the new growth normal for India may be closer to 5% than the “miracle economy” benchmark of 7%. Former chief economic adviser Arvind Subramanian once theorized that statistical flaws were inflating official GDP growth by 2.5%. He said the distinct slowdown after 2011- an later in four Indicators- exports, imports, electricity and credit growth – suggested GDP growth was between 3.5% and 5.5%, far lower than the official 7%.
In the short run, there is a case for fiscal stimulus. The fiscal deficit can be allowed to rise to anything up to 4% for this year. But history shows how difficult it is to end a stimulus, so caution is needed on this front, In any event we need to focus more on the long-term than short-term issues. Otherwise the days of miracle 7% growth will be over.
