TOKYO – 2020 We presume that India did fairly OK. We earned total of 7 medals 1 Gold 2 Silver & 4 Bronze. Congrats to our winners and participants. But analysis is essential. (a) – Most of our athletes are from weaker social and economic background. (b) – At there formative years – they are malnutritioned, they don’t have balanced diet. What needs to be done – we should identify such aspirants between the age group of 10-12 years. The Govt. should take full responsibility of grooming them in right environment and prepare them for national and international competitions. Govt. did show there support by designating two cabinet ministers and even CDS also joined them in clapping in every possible promotion posters. AFGHANISTAN – BURNING US decided to withdraw after 20 years of occupation. We new well before how TALIBAN is expected to behave. Some comments are worth mentioning “Great Wall To Leap Over – The America leaves China wins’ narrative is limited in Afghanistan as both share the same objective there. “Will Taliban Once again Harbour Al Qaeda? Americans where ever they have been – VIETNAM or MIDDLE EAST & now AFGHANISTAN will remain unstable. (Except VIETNAM has established and progressing). Stakes for India. Serious Security Repercussions. Any nations security and safety largely depend on Never hood relations. Where do we stand ? (a) – Afghanistan & Pakistan – we are daggers drawn. (b) – China not closer to us though we tried to remain as close as possible. (c) Nepal, Sri Lanka, & Maldives and Bangladesh too remain under the influence of China. So we have no friends in the neighborhood. Our challenges get multiplied and manifold. Just making very loud and offensive statements can not earn friends. Neither we are economically that strong nor militarily to influence the regional geopolitics.
